T+A Criterion TMR 70 speakers. Classic Vintage. Fully revitalized.
T + A elektroakustik GmbH was founded in 1978 by Siegfried Amft. The name T + A stands for “Theory and Application of Audio Technology”. At the beginning, the company launched a series of characteristic Delta speakers, and in 1982 the TMR (Transmission Multi Resonator). Two years later, in the Solitaire T + A loudspeakers, it used, for the first time, a combination of electrostatic loudspeakers with direct-coupled high-voltage tube amplifiers.
In 1986, the first preamplifiers and power amplifiers were released under the name T + A Pulsar. In the following years, Pulsar’s electronics were expanded to include a full range of audio and video components. In 1995, the Solitaire A2D, the successor to the Solitaire OEC loudspeaker, was introduced to the world market as the first fully digitally controlled active loudspeaker.
Today, T + A continues to produce primarily high-end audio equipment and is a member of the High End Society, an association for high-quality consumer electronics.
The T + A Criterion TMR 70/1 are two-way speakers from the first half of the 70s with a labyrinth structure based on the excellent SEAS and Vifa loudspeakers. This model is distinguished by coherent, full and well-balanced sound and a natural, well-controlled, low-reaching bass.
The enclosures have been completely revitalized. Iroko wood adds incredible charm to the speakers. The wood finish is Chinese oil produced from natural oils. The wood is very pleasant to the touch.
Included are two speaker cables with a cross section of 2 × 2.5mm and length of 2x5m
The set is 100% functional, the speakers are in perfect condition.
